I am a British author of 4 books about papillary thyroid cancer, having lived with the condition for nearly 20 years.  I have also self-published a guide to losing weight, and a guide to places of interest on the Isle of Wight.  Since 2013 I have also been writing fiction under a pseudonym, and have published 14 women's fiction novels, 5 novellas, and 18 short stories.  I worked for many years as a medical secretary, but am now retired.  I am married with 2 adult sons and 5 grandchildren (since 2023 we also have another 'adopted' granddaughter too), and we live in Suffolk, UK.   Apart from writing, I love reading, cycling, walking, swimming, and going to the gym and to music festivals (especially the Isle of Wight Festival).

As of March 2024 I am well and still in remission, with check-ups every 2 years now.  If I'm not writing then you'll find me walking about the picturesque country village where I live, looking for inspiration for my next book.  You might also find me at my caravan on the beautiful Isle of Wight, or I might be cycling along lesser used trails or hiking over the Tennyson Trail to Alum Bay with husband Phil.  Life is what you make it, and I'm not one for sitting about and moaning about having had cancer!
